Sophomore Year...

So since we last talked:

-I turned 19.

-I got an amazing God loving boyfriend.

-I decided to change my major.

-I started planning mission trips for next year.

Okay so turning 19, not too terrible exciting… but I had my closest friends and family there… it meant the world to me. Oh and my bro tore open his back on our ghetto slip n slide.

The amazing God loving boyfriend? Yeah. I stopped looking for a boyfriend and started praying to God and started waiting for the one that God felt was worth my time. Now I’m dating a boy that loves God just as much or more as me, is straightedge too, and just an overall wonderful person that loves me. I could not be more blessed to share my life with Chris Christie II. <3

I changed my major… I will officially be changing it on Wednesday, but I realized. I don’t want to go into Marketing as much now… Too much math and economics… blegh. So I’m going to be a Communications major… It’s funny because my senior year, I had a professor tell me that I should and I was very “Ehhhh” about it. I should go and thank him. I realized it combined my love of talking and writing…and I could do these things while being involved with people. I could even get to use my photography with my writing! I’m so happy. Also, once I get my Bachelor’s in Communications, minor in Spanish… I want to join the program Teach for America to help teach students living in poverty.

& The missions trips? Well first and foremost, I feel a strong calling to go to my “ethnic home” of Puerto Rico. I want to go visit family, experience my culture, work on my Spanish, but most importantly… help my people and show them God’s love.

So yeah! That’s what’s been going on in my life since we last talked. Quite a bit right? :)

This summer two people I knew died. In one week. One was a car accident. One was a suicide. One was from my high school. One was from my college. I miss them. The one from my college was like a brother to me.

I just want you all to know if you’re grieving, I understand. I’m here for you.

Or if you’re thinking about suicide, don’t do it. You’ll be missed. Also, in here for you too if you need to talk.

People love you. I miss these people and I can’t believe they’re gone.

First year down! :)

I had time and i thought i would drop by and leave some words of encouragement. I have 6 weeks left of school- 6 weeks left of being a College Freshman. It still blows my mind to think about. I have a lot of projects coming up, and with the yearbook being put together i will have less time then i do now in these next weeks. This coming Wednesday is Work Day, which is when everyone on campus comes together to do big projects to help our WWC community. I’m pretty excited about it :) Other than that, i’m just trudging along with classes and such. I hope all of you are doing wonderful on your campus searches. Oh, and i almost forgot, i’m having a prospective student stay with me tomorrow night. That should be fun.

So the week before last was my spring break. I went home to PA with a friend to grab my car that my mom bought and to show her around. It was a pretty chill week.
Got back to school around 6 on Sunday and it was a fast drive but i was really tired. The campus all bloomed over break, and it’s beautiful and all but it isn’t cool with someone with allergies. All week i’ve been sick and tired and lazy. I’m trying to do work this weekend to compensate- but it isn’t going to well. Sometimes you just have those weeks- just can’t let yourself get stuck there. The weather has been in the 70’s all week until today when it thunder-stormed. I am now trying to work on a comparative essay about westerns that i got a C+ on. Wonderful. 7 more weeks!

I hope everyone is doing well and that this blog has helped some of you decide on colleges.

hope everyone is having a great time lately :)

last week was my spring break, and i spent every single day of it in beautiful Brunswick, Georgia at an ultimate frisbee tournament with 100 other teams from all over the country! yes, it was a typical spring break with sun, beach, and drinking; literally cannot deny that. it was a fantastic first spring break in college, and that’s all i’m basically going to say since it’s probably easy to figure out what happened when we weren’t playing :p

and uh…today was my first day back, and the temperature difference of 20 degrees is not enjoyable. i was able to spend every day and night there in shorts and a t-shirt, while i’m basically forced to wear jeans and sweats/sweatshirt daily now :\ oh well, i just cannot wait till summer in a month and a half <3

that’s pretty much it; just a quick update and all :)

Hey everyone it’s Chelsea here…

So I finally feel like I’m making a difference in my life. I’m starting to make more connections at shows and I’m even more outgoing than I used to be. I’ve been meeting some really awesome people and taking videos at shows. It’s fun :)

Side note: Working at DQ today was not so pleasant.

Also, I redyed my underlayers and honestly, you can’t tell all that much… Darn…there is also now a purple streak too haha.

I’m on spring break currently and classes are going pretty well. I’m swamped with music theory homework currently.

I know i haven’t posted an update in quite awhile and for that i apologize.

My second semester is going quite well, i love my classes and i have decided for a major (Social Work) :) My college has been doing some pretty cool things also this month. On valentines day they had free STI testing and tonight/ this weekend they are performing vagina monologues. We also host a circus in april. Other than that, i have just been hanging out, trying to get time to work on on top of being on the Yearbook crew this semester ( i go to a working college) and my 18 credits. My fibromyalgia has been acting up more than first semester i think partially because it is colder and i’m not as excited as i was in the beginning. But in two weeks i am going back to PA with a friend for spring break and bringing my car back here (freshman usually aren’t allowed to have cars) Any questions, you can ask them here or my personal tumblr thisgirlsaten.tumblr.com

sorry that I haven’t posted in a while! I’ve been busy with school, some family issues, going to the gym, and i’ve been sick for the past week.

I found out about a month ago that I’m going to be spending my entire spring break (march 9th till the 18th) in Georgia at a huge frisbee tournament with 12 other teammates! so I’ve been going to the gym religiously to make sure that I’m in good-enough shape for 4+ games a day for three days straight :p

school is fantastic! it’s already one month into second semester but it seems like it was just yesterday that I was moving into my dorm for the first time. for everyone who is going to be moving into their colleges in the future, it is really something that you’ll never forget.

that’s about it! here’s a tip - if you don’t want to be bored on the weekends while you’re at school, plan something spontaneous! go to the mall and try on ridiculous outfits, rearrange your room (which i did today with my roommates!), or take a bus somewhere random (as long as you know how to get back to your campus).

Concerts. Snow. Hotels.

So, I went to a concert at a venue that I frequent about 45 minutes from my house. It snowed. I was stuck in that town so my friend and I decided to stay at comfort inn…

DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW COMFY THEIR BEDS ARE? Ridiculously comfortable is what.

Anyway, it was a first experience for driving on snowed roads…and it makes me want Arizona more.

However I had a great time at the show, two of my classmate’s bands played. They did great and I have a lot of videos that I’ll be posting to my youtube. :)

Back to reality though which means… MUSIC THEORY HOMEWORK.

So I really want to go to Arizona State University. It’s my dream school, in my dream state. I’m so tired of Pennsylvania’s cold weather. The winter depresses me. I feel like I’ll be happier there. The night was wonderful. I made some new friends and managed to meet all the guys even though I didn’t think I would be able to. I got to ask Max about favorite places in England and Dan’s opinion on One Direction. Also had some Spanish comments made at me by Josh and my best friend. I also adore Sierra’s mom who went with us. She loved them.

Also, we missed seeing We Are The Ocean perform but Twin Atlantic and The Swellers were absolutely wonderful! They were so dang good!!! I was protected from any pits thank goodness! I will be having video links very soon. :) I tried something different for recording from this app I got.

So life has been so crazy busy since the start of this semester. And now I feel like I have no time for my boyfriend really. I get like an hour here and there with him like every other day. Its horrible. I just know that March is going to come up super fast and that its going to be hard but I’m strong enough. Classes are great. I love my music classes and my speech class isn’t too bad. My Professor is a really cool guy. English class is going to be the death of me. I swear that guy is ADHD and can’t focus on a topic for more than 2 seconds but I’ll manage. I have to pass this class to get this degree. Here we go. :)

this is going to be a fantastic semester

my communications class has some very attractive guys in it and the professor is hilarious; my comp & lit class is only going to be torturous in the sense that the professor is extremely disorganized but 2 of my friends are in it with me so i’ll make it through just fine; and my criminal law class is fantastic <3 i haven’t had my “american government and politics” or “criminal investigation” classes yet (tuesday and wednesday night, respectively), but i have a feeling they’re going to be good too :)

also, i officially changed my concentration to International Justice from Forensic Psychology and declared a minor in Spanish language/culture today! so excited for that!
